This was the last of 5 dates that PiL played at the Nakano Sun Plaza Hotel in late June and early July '83. Several tracks from this performance were combined with tracks from the previous evening to comprise the Live in Tokyo album. The previous evening's performance was also released as a Live in Tokyo video.

The Live in Tokyo album, may boast much better quality, however in my opinion this audience recording despite not being quite as sharp is a much better option. The spit and polish which made the live album so unbearably cheesy is of course absent on the audience recording which leaves us with a much more gritty, rough sounding bootleg, which to be honest is it's only redeeming feature. On the CDR that I have, This is Not a Love Song is split between 2 tracks.
