Brisbane, Australia, Easts Leagues Rugby Club - 18.8.1989. (Thanks Mick & Brad)
This is probably in my top 5 list of favourite PiL bootlegs. The band pull off one of the best shows they ever played and the crowd are really up for it too.
This is an audience recording, and although the quality could be a bit sharper it is still a fantastic bootleg.
Lydon seems to be in a great mood, which reflects strongly on the crowd; "Now I want everyone to clap along... except you, you're ugly!"
The show ends with an amazing version of World Destruction. Lydon's closing words are; "Well, same time next year!" - although this would be the last time PiL ever played in Australia... so far!
There is a cut between Open & Revolving and Round. I am also inclined to think that Fishing has been edited out, because the cut is exactly where the song should have been played and the band play it on every other Aussie bootleg from 1989.
