Detroit, MI, Motor City Roller Rink - 28.4.1980. (Thanks Mick & Richard)
There are a few versions of this recording around. Most versions are missing Chant, but the copy I have is complete.. Many old copies also are missing the first minute or so of Careering, but a recrent upgrade of the gig is more complete and begins with audience noise before the band begin playing.
Quality wise it's very good. Lydons vocals are a little buried by Wobble's thundering bass, although many of the 1980 bootlegs are the same. I advise to listen with a quality pair of headphones...
Lydon isn't very communicative on this one, save for asking that the house lights be turned down and to goad the crowd, who themselves sound pretty reserved. Lydon also states that Conway Twitty is a hero of PiL's.
