Barcelona, Spain, Studio 54 - 15.10.1986. (Thanks Mick)
I picked up this bootleg along with the Madrid gig from the 17th, at a tape stall while on holiday in Spain in summer 2000.
A fine performance. PiL's first visit to Spain, indeed Lydon even comments upon this during Kashmir.
The audience seem a bit subdued, but PiL still deliver the goods. Strong versions of Low Life, Poptones, Home and an excellent Public image have to be high points of the set.
There's trouble throughout with spitting with Lydon doing his best to persuade them to stop; "I don't speak Spanish, but please do not spit!"
The quality of this one is perhaps a shade less than the Madrid tape, but both are pretty similar in terms of atmosphere and performance.
Interestingly Religion isn't in the set tonight.
At the very end of the gig Lydon says: "I warned you about spitting! No more...!" although this was the last number anyway.
There is a cut between Public image and The Order of Death.
There is a cut between Annalisa and World Destruction.
