Glasgow, Scotland, Barrowlands Ballroom - 14.5.1986. (Thanks Mick)
PiL's 2nd ever gig in Glasgow is available in two different forms. The first is a complete, unedited audience recording of fantastic quality and the second is an FM, Radio Clyde broadcast from November 1986 featuring 12 songs from the gig. Naturally the radio broadcast features superior quality than the audience recording, however the fact that the audience recording features the entire performance is it's redeeming feature.
The audience recording begins with house music playing and the crowd chanting: "Johnny! Johnny!" until the band arrive and launch into an excellent rendition of Kashmir.
There's problems with spitting throughout the gig, with Lydon telling the crowd that he's surprised at Glasgow for behaving in such a way. Lydon also gets hit with a bottle after Rise which infuriates him greatly.
In my opinion this is one of the top bootlegs of the tour, not only because of quality but because the band pull off a blinding performance and there's a dash of humour for good measure; "Hello, band?"
There is a cut between Home and Public image.
