Chicago, IL, Riviera Theatre - 1.5.1980. (Thanks Mick & David).
This is a bootleg that despite having a few major drawbacks is definitely worth adding to your collection. It's probably one of the clearest recordings from the 1980 tour available, however as mentioned there are drawbacks, the major one being that the bootleg is incomplete. Only 9 songs from the gig are featured which is a heartbreaker. The 2nd drawback is that there is a noticeable modulating effect on the tape, but this clears up considerably as the show progresses.
PiL pull off a fantastic gig with Annalisa, Low Life and Public image being show highlights in my opinion.
It's rare to hear Wobble speak to the audience on a PiL bootleg, so it's nice to hear him advise the crowd on how best to convey their fiscal donations to the stage. Aside from this there isn't a lot of band/crowd interaction unfortunately.
On my copy there is a very brief cut at the start of Public image, but this may not be the case with all copies.
There is a tape cut between Attack and Low Life.
